Working Together and What to Expect

All consultations are completely confidential, creating a safe and non-judgemental space for patients to share as much as they are comfortable with. I am fully insured, adhere to the professional code of ethics and data protection regulations (GDPR).

I strongly believe that a person is not defined by their diagnosis or set of symptoms. Everyone has arrived at this particular stage of their health via their own unique journey and every detail of the  heath history is connected to the present, giving us a clue of the root cause.

At the initial appointment (1 - 1,5 h), we will talk in detail about the main problem(s) that brought you to me but we will also touch on many different aspects of your life – from life style, medical history, stress, family medical history to general questions like favourite food or drinks. All these answers help me to find the best fitting remedy with the best chance of triggering your body’s healing process. They will also enable me to get to know you and understand  your needs. Together, we will try to identify what might be causing your symptoms and/or preventing you from getting better, perhaps needing your attention. After our appointment I will analyse your case and do so called repertorisation (finding the best fitting remedy).

I tend to recommend a follow up appointment (45 min - 1 h) in around 4 - 6 weeks time to start with, then - later in the treatment, around 8 weeks time. It all depend on your body's healing response. Sometimes we see amazing progress right after the first appointment (this can be common especially in children) and other times the progress is more gradual (e.g. in patients with long-term, more complicated problems). The improvement can be only 10% - which may not seem a lot. However, we often see that after 6 months, this improvement has developed to 6 x 10%, i.e. 60%, and that makes a huge difference. It is important to know what one expects from the treatment - if a person wants results by the next day, it is unfortunately not a cure, it is just suppression of the problem back into the body and often deeper (e.g. when using corticosteroids, eczema often disappears within 24 - 48 hours, but it is not cured).  Homeopathy works by returning the body to its balance and this can sometimes be quite speedy and sometimes it can take longer because everyone is unique.
